Silicone Implants or Microfat Grafting
If nature didn't give it to you, then you must already know the gym won't build it up either. T-Change offers two ways for you to enhance the back side of your charms: silicone buttocks implants or fat grafts from other parts of your body.
They will notice as you walk away…
Know everything about this technique
Microfat grafting or silicone implants — two options for obtaining great results.
Silicone implants
- Permanently increases the volume of the buttocks.
- The only feasible procedure when there is not enough fat in other areas of the body to transfer to the buttocks.
- Enhances the buttocks' profile, especially when combined with liposuction of nearby areas such as thighs and waist.
- Evens out the bodies of people who work out but cannot develop the muscles of their buttocks as much as other parts of their bodies.
Microfat grafting
- Permanently increases the volume of the buttocks. Fat injections are more worthwhile when applied in the buttocks than in other areas, since adipose tissue tends to accumulate there. However, the volume achieved may sometimes be reduced if the fat is reabsorbed by the body.
- The buttocks are enhanced not only because of the increase in volume, but also because of the contrast they get with nearby areas from which the fat is recollected and whose volume is inevitably reduced.
It does not tighten sagging skin.
The surgery
Anesthesia & duration
According to the characteristics of your case and to what you and your surgeon decide, anesthesia may be local, epidural or general.
The surgery lasts about 2 hours, both for buttocks augmentation with microfat grafting and with implants.
You may return to your hotel about 4 or 6 hours after the surgery.
How it is performed
The surgeon makes an incision between the buttocks, right in the midline. He makes a pocket inside each buttock and places the cohesive silicone gel implants inside of them, sliding them through the incision, which is between 2 and 3 inches long (5 and 7 cm).
The surgeon collects the fat from other areas of the body with a cannula — very similar to liposuction. The most frequent areas are the lower back, abdomen, waist and hips. Then he purifies the fat collected and injects it on the buttocks, drop by drop, very close to blood vessels to ensure adequate blood supply.
Recovery period
Bandages
You will have to wear a special bandage on the treated area for about two or three weeks. It is a bit uncomfortable but necessary.
Stitches removed
In both cases, between 7 and 15 days after the surgery.
Day 7 onwards
You may try to sit again and go back to work, but only if you will not have to sit for long periods or do intense physical efforts. Rest only on your belly until stitches are removed.
Day 30
According to your evolution, you will have to wait about 30 days before doing any hard work and exercise.
Bruises will probably develop; they may remain there for 10 days and may migrate to the legs before disappearing completely. The inflammation will diminish progressively during 3 or 4 weeks, after reaching its peak at the third day after the surgery. During the first three or four weeks the swelling may diminish unevenly, causing asymmetries.
Scars — microfat grafting
Small scars will form on the areas from which the fat was collected. They will soon become very difficult to notice since they will be about 0.1 inches (3 mm) long.
Scars — silicone implants
It is very important to keep the area clean. The scar tends to be about 2 or 3 inches (6 or 7 cm) long, but it will be concealed between the buttocks.
During the recovery period, some people may feel quite depressed. You may even come to think that you made a big mistake. But don't worry. Most of the people who are happy today and who are satisfied with the results obtained, have also felt somewhat depressed.
Risks and complications
Every surgery has certain risks. However, it is very unlikely for buttock augmentation surgery to present complications when performed by a qualified surgeon.
Asymmetry. Even though the surgeon marks the areas very carefully, there may be asymmetries.
Adverse reactions to anesthesia.
Infections may develop but, if you take the right antibiotics, they will be less likely to develop.
Large bruises that may need to be drained.
Seromas, or fluid accumulation beneath the skin, may develop. In some cases, they will have to be drained with a syringe.
Temporary loss of pigmentation of the skin of the treated areas.
Thrombosis. If a blood clot travels through the bloodstream and reaches the lungs, it may cause a cardiopulmonary arrest. To prevent this, try to get up and to move your legs as soon as you can. This risk is more related to buttock augmentation with microfat grafting than with implants.
When silicone implants are used, they may puncture or rupture if a violent pressure is applied. Even though the implants are filled with a cohesive gel that does not leak, if they rupture they must be replaced.
An injection could puncture the implant. You must be very careful not to have injections applied in the area where the implants are placed.
When microfat grafting is used, there may be an excessive loss of fluids associated to liposuction; this may cause decompensation.
Some of the grafted fat could be reabsorbed by the body if there is no adequate blood supply. This is a natural process that takes some months — it does not cause discomfort but some of the volume gained may be lost.
Finally, the outcome…
In general, buttocks augmentation surgery has lasting and very satisfactory results. Your new curves will make your body look more female. When you dance, when you walk, your movements will have a new charm that you would have never obtained by other means.
